3x6 white glossy subway tiles are a very unique yet simple (and inexpensive) way to give a room a new breath of air. They work in either in the kitchen or bathroom, you can keep the look classic by staggering the tiles or turn them vertically, horizontally, or on a running bond. You can also find 3x6 tiles in a plethora of materials, glass, natural stone and porcelain.

I love the pop of blue used on the back-splash in this kitchen. Such a simple thing can help make a kitchen design unique.
The Other White House.

Talking to a fellow designer a few years back she mentioned that she had a client that just “loved white”. I could see the conflict in her face and wondered silently to myself if she would finish the project or try to convince the client to go into a different direction.
White shows everything! And if you’re a coffee or red wine drinker you would probably give it up for tonic water and white tea if you just absolutely have to have white in your home. I’ve always loved the look of an all white room but I know realistically that in my home it just wouldn’t work. I applaud the designers and clients that stick to the scheme and execute it beautifully. Keep it up!
